The August Wilson African American Cultural Center
Shawn’s original art is featured in the new “Collections in Black: A Celebration of Black Comic Book Culture” exhibition at The August Wilson African American Cultural Center in Pittsburgh, PA.
Developed by art collector Phillip Thompson and curated by Kimberly Jacobs, the exhibition showcases art from 1950s Golden Age artists and Pittsburgh’s own Jackie Ormes and Matt Baker alongside original works from Brian Stelfreeze, Denys Cowan, Larry Stroman, Ken Lashley, Alitha Martinez, John Jennings and others.
